A Bit About Me
Dr. Julian Springer serves as the Chief Executive Officer and President at Draft Night America. With nearly 20 years of experience, working in higher education, Springer has been credited as one of the few higher education professionals to serve in leadership positions within Athletic Administration, College Coaching, Student Affairs, and Academic Affairs both as an Administrator and Faculty Member. Springer has won more than 100 games as a Head Basketball Coach at the college level. He’s received Coach of the Year honors while winning back-to-back conference championships at Kankakee Community College and recruiting several All-Americans. He was also the Head Coach at Rock Valley College where he led the team to the biggest turnaround in history in which Rock Valley had nine consecutive losing seasons prior to his hire and then won 20 games with his first recruiting class. Springer has also coached Division 1 basketball at Bradley University, Northern Illinois University, and Jackson State University, having the opportunity to be part of two conference championships with Bradley and JSU as Jackson State still holds the best record in conference history. Springer has also led departments in the following areas:
Director of Athletics, Director of Campus Recreation, Director of Academic Success, Department Chair, Residence Life, Academic Advising, and Faculty Member. Dr. Springer received his bachelors degree from Southern Illinois University. He received master’s degrees from both Central Michigan University and Jackson State University. Springer completed his doctorate degree from Northern Illinois University and was the first person ever to complete the higher education and student affairs community college leadership degree at NIU.
